Considering how much the banks have received from the taxpayer perhaps they should put up selected/screened homeless families in their vacant properties rent free. The tenants just have to pay for utilities and keep the property from getting in to disrepair, cut the grass etc and leave when the property is sold.

I'll bet many of those homeless had family who acquired massive amounts of wealth in the Gold Rush but gave it all up through taxation, excessive consumption, or some ponzi scheme.
Sad. Truly sad.
It's horrible, pull out all the stops and mortgage the government to the hilt [some more], I won't sleep until we have the tender mercies of communism looking out for all those homeless folk... it's all our faults, we are all guilty, we should have taken out seconds on our houses so those construction workers could still be employed... we could be living free like the Cubans, they still have communism there and they are all equal, they all live like those poor unemployed construction workers and when everybody is at the same level then everybody is happy...
