Trying to impeachment a president that has close to 50% approval is a special kind of stupid. Lucky for the Dems, and the country, Pelosi knows better. Nixon resigned because he knew he had lost the support of his fellow GOP and his approval ratings were in the mid 20's. He would have been impeached.

There would never be an impeachment of a president who has an approval rating of 50%. It would have to be in the low 30s and even then it would be unlikely due to the fact that crimes would have to have been committed. Reader----sitting presidents cannot obstruct justice because sitting president ARE justice. They are the sole member of the executive branch and thus the chief law enforcement officer in the land.
