House Budget Surrender--Why Did We Vote For These Guys ?

Rush nailed it today. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2...on_every_promise_with_infuriating_budget_deal

The budget deal represents the republican leadership reneging on practically every promise they have made, even down to giving us 3 days to review bills.

We knew they had sold us out when Harry Reid and Biden came out and said it was a tough but fair deal. In negotiating circles, that is called giving your opponents some cover when you have fleeced them.

Let's just go over what the republicans have done. They funded obamacare and obama's illegal executive amnesty. They confirmed a far left Holder clone as AG and got nothing in return. They undermined their own Benghazi probe. They have let the IRS thumb its nose at them. The failed to fulfill their Constitutional authority on the Iran deal and instead turned the process on its head so they could appear to be against it while letting it go through. Same deal with the Trade treaty, pretend to oppose, secretly grease the skids for it. Now this budget deal.

The one accomplishment of Boehner et al was the spending caps set forth in the sequester. Of course most republicans hated it because they couldn't fund defense programs. Like we need another manned bomber ( news flash: a big contract was just given to Northrup Grumman to build one).

So now they have forfeited even that in a fitting last gesture from the retiring Speaker. His official protrait should be on his knees in front of his master, obama.

The republican establishment has now pretty much vanquished the Tea Party and Freedom Caucus. They hate us and our noxious ideas about limiting government, transparency and standing up for our principles. As far as they are concerned, we can accept our position as their servants or f off, our choice. They will replace us with the mexican vote and Chamber of Commerce money.

And if they lose the next election, as they likely will, they will blame us for being exclusionary and divisive.

Nothing new. They promised us one thing to get elected, then "did another" once they got into power as they wanted. No different than the phony contractor who collects up front for replacing your roof, then skips town with your money.

It's galling!

They want to bring back the pre-Reagan/pre-Gingrich republican party of the Bob Doles and Bob Michels. All this principle stuff gets in the way of log rolling for big donors.

Could be worse. You can take it as a good sign when they have to go through the motions of fooling the masses.

"Could be worse"? Well, it will. Won't be long before we have to "show our papers" before we're allowed to take a dump.

So much for "the American dream".

Economic growth?

Is it possible to get out of this?

The gov't was formed to protect the rights and property of it's citizens.

Now it is obvious that the purpose of gov't has transformed into taking the property of its citizens and giving them to someone else. Over seventy percent of the budget does just that.
