Hotels/Villas in Milan

I am going to Italy next week and looking for a hotel or B&B in Milan or surrounding areas.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Does anyone have any experience with the "be your own travel agent scam" ???

You pay $300-400 to get an IOTA # (International Association of Travel Agents)....which entitles you to fam rates (familiarization rate). They are discounted about 60-70%.

I had a client a few years ago who claimed to have stayed in 5 star properties all over Europe on his honeymoon and saved 10,000 bucks.

Wondering if anyone has any personal experience??

You aren't kidding!
The EUR/USD is making travel insanely expensively. I've booked a cheap ticket to Italy and now I can't afford a hotel.
