CVAC on day 2 after its IPO: stock has risen from $16 at IPO on Friday to $72.46 today on Monday:
Well technically, it opened around $36ish. Only the good ol' boys got in at $16.
It was a good find though. I haven't dug into their S-1 filing, but if you are going to play/follow the stock, I certainly would read that if I were you. Things like how many shares were initially offered, how many additional were held back in reserve for the underwriters, when does lock-up expire, are there any early players with large positions that are allowed to get out.
All these things matter on low float ipo's. As a rule of thumb, I'd be careful of high flyers like this with no ability to short or buy puts on. Inevitably they leave a trail of wiped out retail bag-holders.
Use stops, but remember, stops are only triggers. If it gaps down $30 overnight, you sell at the opening price.
g/l, don't go crazy with it.
