Horrible recession: Why are steel stocks breaking out?

Quote from frank grimes:

Hey Mak, I kind of thought that the point you were trying to make was rather positive....That steel stocks are saying there was no recesssion either now or in the future, is that correct? Then day jumps all over with his depressed pyscho rants! I would have thought he should have agreed with you..Go figure. Anywho, that guy (day####) is a true nut job. Mkt needs to close over 1375 to confirm we breaking out of this range, until then you can reach me on the golf course....Hey whack job day, i'll be out at half moon bay today, please don't join me.

Market closed above 1375 at 1390. Now come back and join the longs or get skinned live trying to short the rallies which are just too damn powerful with stocks clocking $8- 90 in a single session.

You ain't seen nothing yet! Another big white candle up the ------ please? Is that what you are asking for?

Somehow these charts don't make much sense in a 'rapid global economic implosion' and 'worst depression since 1933' scenario now do they. Does the equity market have got it wrong again as the bond markets are telling a very different story

This is how losers talk. End of story.

Exactly Frank, the point that I was trying to make was that steel stock charts 'painted a different picture' of the (world) economy than bonds and paranoid financial media articles did, at least at the time when I started this thread. I think the CAT, HON, UTX earnings and calls this week went in the same direction.

That's all. I guess it's too hard for some people like day/hedgefundtrader to understand. He's a psycho.

Enjoy your weekend, we'll see in May if the bulls finally grew some balls or are still looking for them.

makloda...you ever gonna admit you had no clue what you were talking about in this thread?:p
Huh? Do yourself a favor and don't catch HedgefundTrader2's psycho virus.

Quote from dman666:

Who cares why they are up, the main thing is that they are going up.

Instead of focusing how to make money MAKLODA is focused on the negativity, doom and gloom.

Why are people so negative? Why in this land of plenty? Has not your government done enough for you already?

He is a psycho. Sure. Only depressed negative idiots who had imagined a " recession" can talk this way. According to them the whole world should have come to an end, but did not. There is this market that keeps going up and up with rallies back to back. They wonder why the market is not depressed and gloomy like they feel?

They measure that all stocks should be going down so they can short and take revenge, but steel stocks, fertilizers, mining keep handing him down his losses. His SPY puts are going worthless and he is mad!

Quote from HedgefundTrader2:

People comparing this minor hiccup in economy with Great Depression! Give me a break! Loaded with IPODS, Flat screen TVS, wearing Nike's and slurping Lattes at Starbucks these morons know nothing about hardship their elders had to go through!

Easily the stupidest poster on ET...
recession = 3 consecutive months of job losses...FACT
