Thanks. I'm probably not cutout for a trading journal if emg and the like are gonna be popping in. And, daytrading isn't my favorite style either. But, I try to take a little here and there while I wait for what I'm looking for. I don't mean any ill will toward anyone. And I'm sorry to emg if I was offended by his presence.

emg, I will try to see you in a positive light from now on..

very good question. I guess I created the name on purpose. I notice there is a tendency in ET for people to feel they know everything. So with a name as hopelesstrader then I figured no one would esteem me any greater than they should. I want to be able to ask questions if I have them and never feel I've reached knowing everything.. There's so much more out there. And besides.. there's no hope in markets. Put your hope in Jesus Christ.. not markets. In markets you have to be full of skill or luck.. not hope. The market is not a friendly place. I don't like waiting around hoping a trade is gonna come back.. It's a constant reminder to me.. when I'm hoping a position is gonna come back.. I'm usually in it too long. That's just my experience though.

I fully agree with you. .psychology plays a big role on most traders. I say most cuz some of us like to use algos as well. Self-fullfilling prophecy. .is huge in life in general yep.

LOL. :) just to clarify.. I wasn't saying that TA is useless. I was just saying that I thought "hmm where would someone that loses a lot jump in.. ok .. let's sell there type of psychology that I added along with the other stuff.. which you probably noticed since I think you like the 5 min chart. I usually prefer the 1hr and 4hr.. but I didn't get a couple trades so I went hunting a little at the open...

I probably won't keep up this journal thing.. What I always admired about people on here is.. .the ability to keep a trade on despite the critics. You never really know who's on the other end of the screen and sometimes they sound so smart lol.. which can be very distracting. Maybe it seems worse when it's your own journal. So far I don't like it. We'll see.
