A Tennessee homeowner’s association (HOA) just tried to fine a couple US$100 for the phallic shape their Honda Insight left in a snowy parking lot after they moved their car.

The Honda’s owner, Kathryn, explains on reddit’s /f***HOA subreddit how their condo complex’s HOA stuck her and her husband with the fine almost a week after their development was hit by the wintry weather.

The HOA emailed them saying the penalty was for some unspecified reason pertaining to their car and the snow.

“Your car, specifically the Honda, left this offensive image on the ground after you left, I believe you will see why we have had complaints about it,” the email, shared with The Drive, reads.

“One of our residents took the photo and reported it to us out of concern for our younger residents.”

The image shows a blob of bare pavement where the car had been parked, and the snow around it—some might say the outline is vaguely penis-shaped.

However, others might note this could be the dumbest excuse to tattle on somebody, especially considering they had no control what shapes are made by falling snow. Yes, somebody was concerned a child would see some asphalt in the shape of a dick.

Kathryn fired back an email to the HOA after she stopped laughing, stating there was no way they were paying the fine for something that was totally out of their control, and threatened legal action if it was to go through.

The HOA responded it would not pursue the charge, due to there being no by-laws to support it.

Someone at the HOA was just looking to make trouble for that family for whatever reason.
Also, that shape looks like a dog bone, no pun intended.

We are so in need of a culling of the herd.

People see in shapes what they want to see. No shock why so many living there saw a cock...

I think of it as a Rorscahach ink blot test. The “condo commando” behind this is obviously thinking about dicks. A reasonable question might be: Is this a result of sexual frustration or some sort of metaphorical projection?

I don't think it matters where people live, most human beings are hard-wired to see certain shapes in random objects. This is the same reason why people see faces in the darker parts of a slice of toast, for example.
