TOKYO (NQN)--Honda Motor Co. (7267) said Tuesday its domestic output tumbled 30.6% year on year to 73,020 units in June, marking the eighth straight monthly decline. Meanwhile, domestic sales fell 7.1% to 50,876 units, marking the second straight monthly drop.
The company exported 25,485 cars last month, down 51% from the previous year, making for the ninth consecutive month of decline. Its overseas output shrank 15.1% to 184,832 units, a ninth consecutive monthly drop.
Honda Motor's domestic output in the first half of 2009 decreased 37.1% on the year to 376,363 units.
