I am glad your title did not include daytrader or scalpers because by definition us daytraders or scalpers do not hold positions overnight and for that reason we are always belittled by the real traders who are a class above us for holding over night thereby always being rewarded by the wisdom of the Bernanke and the Fed which tends these days to be most often manifested in the hours when the markets are not open.
