Well, I've done my fair share of upgrading houses but I am definitely taking a pass on this one. Yikes! Looks like hoarder remnants. Maybe at $828k it's a deal?

Is that price actually cheap for NYC?
Because this place needs to be stripped and scrubbed of everything top to bottom by the looks of it to be made habitable.
I like the fireplace, I wonder whether it can be saved.

The house was built in 1945, so yes underneath all that paint lies a beautiful mantel that is absolutely worth restoring.
