Are you aware of all the tests that TSA has failed? Where a gun or bomb is passed through the screening area to see how affective TSA is catching it.
They routinely fail most of them.

I don't mind some minor inconvenience in exchange for safety.
But we're enduring major inconvenience, delays and loss of rights, at great tax payer expense, with NO discernible improvement in safety.

Now maybe that gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling before boarding a flight.
But not me.

As far as I know, since "D.B. Cooper" at least, only young Arab and black males have boarded US airlines with the intent to commit terrorism. But then I think discrimination is a right and in the proper context, airport security for an example, it's just plain common sense.

And, yes, I do believe in showing respect to the TSA employees.
They are doing what they are told to do 99% of the time.
There are rogue officers in any security agency, as there are in all businesses....Even among airline pilots.;>)

I would too, if TSA would profile and pat down the ones most likely to be terrorists. But they're not. They're patting down the elderly, children and white business men. Pretty much everyone BUT who they should focus on. All because of ignorant stupid bleeding heart PC bullshit.

+1 Profiling works. In fact, it's about the only thing that does work in stopping terrorists.

Profiling can work - if you see a despondent and dazed arab youth getting access to a flight from a respectable looking westerner in a suit, take a different flight.
