I know what a Kibbutz is- I've been to enough of them.
Collectivist living can work pretty well... on a small scale, among first generation idealists who choose that life.
In any other scenario, poverty & gross mismanagement is the inevitable result. Wherever individuals aren't permitted to keep the fruits of their own labor, don't expect to see too much fruit.
