Hit for Apple self driving cars?

Hasn't Google already been working on a completely self-driving car for a long time now? I remember seeing this thing years ago:

Yeah, I know about Google's cars but they aren't perfect either, the reality is that we don't have any 100% self-driving cars which can do all the functions needed today.
