History of the Racist Democratic party

Total bullshit. How the hell is Florida a swing state then?

I guess you should inform the DNC that they should immediately stop trying to win Texas.

The repubs need to start a campaign stating the the Democrats have stated to all the minority people in southern states that they do not represent you.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. The crime bill of 1994 was derided by republicans for being soft and full of pork. McConnell himself complained the bill would put more social workers on the streets than cops. Republicans at the time wanted a tougher bill that is what led to some of the rhetoric you cite, out of context too.

Regardless. The crime bill went too far in some areas and was effective in other areas. People forget that crime went through the roof under Reagan and Bush 41 (same for Trump btw, crime went up dramatically under his presidency) and by the time clinton took office crime was at decades highs. The crime bill definitely reduced crime by more than 40%.

Crime bill also had a lot of support from blacks at the time as crack and drug dealers were ruining black neighborhoods.Two-thirds of the Congressional Black Caucus supported it.

WTF are you talking about. Joe Biden passed the systematic racism crime bill in 1994 and Bill Clinton signed it in the same year.

The systematic racism 1994 crime bill was passed by Congress with mostly Democrat support.

Hillary Clinton called black people "super predators" in 1996.

The 1968 story is total bullshit, political propaganda, and isn't' even worth discussing.

"when the bill passed with bipartisan support, including the votes of more than two-thirds of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), and with the backing of other black leaders beyond Capitol Hill"

In addition to the dozens of pastors who signed a letter in support of the bill, it also had the support of black mayors. Kurt Schmoke, the first elected black mayor of Baltimore, was a vigorous supporter.

Even then U.S. Representative Kweisi Mfume, then chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) who understood the bill was a means to “find better ways to incarcerate people” eventually buckled, not only supporting the bill, but was ultimately responsible for its passage by rallying a majority of CBC members to vote for it after the bill was nearly derailed on a procedural issue.

Politicians and people from the confederate states have historically been the most racist, from the 1800s to today.Democrat party no longer represents the confederate states though.

The Democrat party is like the Nazi, they are built on hatred.

You actually have a guy in Joe Biden who demanded that his children not be in school with blacks. He actually referred to schools that had blacks as a 'jungle'.

Forbes: These are the top cities where African-Americans are doing the best economically

In addition to gaining the nickname Hollywood of the South, the A can officially own its reputation as America’s black mecca.

The city filled to the brim with scrumptious cuisine, top entertainment destinations and dozens of chances to rub elbows with celebrities has cemented is claim as a top city for African-American, thanks Forbes’ newest ranking.

The A tied with the Washington, D.C.-area for the No. 1 spot on Forbes magazine's 2018 list of cities where African-Americans are doing the best economically.

"Atlanta, with its historically black universities and strong middle class, has long been described as the black capital of America, and its thriving entertainment scene has given rise to claims that it's become a cultural capital as well," Forbes contributor Joel Kotkin wrote.

But there's more to Forbes' analysis than just arts and culture. Atlanta, like several Southern cities on the list, have become the primary landing spot for career-driven people of color. The city has also become an incubator for entrepreneurs.

“Entrepreneurship is strong, with some 20% of the metro area’s black working population self-employed, the highest proportion in the nation, and though median black household income is quite a bit lower than in the D.C. area at $48,161, costs are lower too. In-migration has slowed since the financial crisis, but the black population is still up 14.7% since 2010.”

The Forbes article notes that many areas across the country are beginning to make strides economically overall, so African-Americans have been able to ride that "economic tide.' The African-American unemployment rate dropped to 5.5% in September, which was the lowest level since the government labor report was established in 1972, according to a CNBC report.

To come up with the ranking of where African-Americans are most financially affluent, Forbes evaluated 53 of the largest U.S. metropolitan statistical areas based on three critical indicators of middle-class success: the home ownership rate as of 2016; entrepreneurship, as measured by the self-employment rate in 2017; and 2016 median household income. In addition, the publication added a fourth category, demographic trends, measuring the change in the African-American population from 2010 to 2016 in these metro areas, to judge how the community is “voting with its feet.” Each factor was given equal weight.

Take a look at the magazine’s 2018 list of cities where African-Americans are doing the best economically

A freshman Republican from one of the nation’s deepest-red districts said the rejection of House farm legislation on Friday is the latest setback for agriculture under GOP leadership.

"It certainly will leave a lot of ag producers scratching their heads about our Republican majority and moving these important pieces of legislation through the House,” said Jodey Arrington, elected in 2016 to represent a swath of West Texas including Lubbock and Abilene.

Many of farmers’ concerns -- including uncertainty over possible revisions to the North American Free Trade Agreement, a labor shortage related to declining immigration and now the failure of a farm bill -- stem from actions taken by a Republican White House and Congress, he said.

“It’s unfortunate because if you come from ag country, times have been really tough for years, since 2014, so this is not good for the United States ag economy,” he said.

The farm bill, a five-year reauthorization of U.S. Department of Agriculture programs including farmer subsidies and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly called food stamps, failed in the House of Representatives by a 197-213 vote, as conservatives wanted to tie the legislation to a separate immigration bill and moderate Republicans and all Democrats objected to its food-stamp provisions. GOP leaders plan to bring the measure up again, possibly as early as next week.
