Historical sunday night opens

Quote from Chuck Krug:

Anyone remember where the futures opened on sunday on big down days in the past e.g. in 87?

The futures didn't open on Sunday back in those days - '87 was pre-Globex.

Thanks Rhino,

I remember 20 years very well, although i was only 14, because my father dropped Euro 500k that day.
He used to trade the AEX options in Amsterdam.
I remember that he looked totally shellshocked

maybe the crash is postponed till everyone is sucked in above 1600. :)

could very well be spectre

the method that i'm following tells me to cover& go long today.
(still not 100% sure i'm all interpreting it right)
i did the covering, but am a bit jittery to hold longs.

obviously not in euros, but it wouldn't make sense to most if i said 1.2 mill guilders

Market will move a large amount today. Thats all history teaches us, in what direction who knows and if you think gee well I will buy options forget it the vols will spike. And if you think gee well then I will sell them, they will remain high longer than you can remain solvent.

Thats why we call it a market.

too funny I have to comment again.
