Historical News?

I'm looking for a source for historical news. I've checked briefing, marketwatch, yahoo, msn, google, and reuters and the most they go back is 2-3 years. I'm looking for something that goes back 5 to 10 years. I just want to plug in a symbol and it returns headlines with the date and time.

Anyone know of such a source?

Google News archive goes back 200 years... or do you need an API? (Google blocks screen scrapers)

Factiva will do exactly what you want. You can get an account and look at just headlines and the first line of a story for $69/year, or you can sign up and pay to see entire articles. It goes back about three decades for many sources and has around 8,000 periodicals in its database. I use the service and think it's great.
