I'm interested in downloading historical market news for stocks or indicies. It would be first sufficient to know the number of news & announcements appeared on the market on a given day in the past.

Where can I download such a data series?

I know yahoo finance has historical headlines but I didn't find any interface to download, only for most recent headlines.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Significant news is consistently about previous moves in the market and are interpretations of reasons for the previous moves often in terms of investor psychology but don't quote me on that.
