Does anybody know where I can get a database of past economic events? I am trying to find the dates and times for any major economic report going back 8 years so I can accurately back test a strategy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to do the legwork, and manually download the data if necessary. Thanks

For US economic reports you can use Yahoo Finance, just keep clicking on "Last Week" to get previous data.
Not sure how far back you can go though, but it's still a good start:

It seems that this database starts from January 2001.
Almost 13 years of data, not bad.
