Hiring a cofounder

Possibly someone can add coding and research and development of profitable strategies
to their own active day trading activities while working their full time job.. Possibly you can get away with it and maintain your present adequate job performance. Convince Aquarians your working "full time" for him as you do for your other boss as well.

Basic idea is:
a) I'm paying $1000 / month for someone to work full time on developing an OPTIONS trading sytem (hence why I'm posting this in the options section of this forum). This is the "hiring" part of the title.
b) I'm in no hurry to throw those money out the window, so what I'm looking for may look like sort of an unicorn. This is the "cofounder" part of the title.

Ok, it's a bit of a conflict in words since hiring refers to employees and a cofounder is the very opposite of that. But I want a title that sends a clearer message than the usual "looking for", since the key ingredient I'm throwing here is money ($1000 / month).

Think of my post as an ongoing tentative which I'll refine subsequently, I'd like to read your input / feedback on it. I'm fully expecting to be viciously attacked / ridiculed and with all the alcohol involved, I couldn't get myself to post this message yesterday :) Partly because I'm far more able to withstand critique when I'm sober :p

It's morning now and I hafta go to work but I'll post more details on what I'm looking for. I've 17 years of programming background and 12 of quantitative finance (like I can prove the Black-Scholes theorem at least three different ways) and feel like I'm closing in to getting "actually making money" off the ground.

This domain seems to be dominated by lone wolfs (applies even more for this forum) and I too need solid reasons for willing to both pay money and dilute my equity to 50%. The reasons are, and hope they make sense to you as they make to me:
1) I'm both cutting the time required to bootstrap this and getting a partner for the stuff to come. The path from "having a money making strategy" and a well-capitalized hedge fund may not be entirely smooth and straightforward.
2) Most importantly, THE EQUITY EQUATION: http://paulgraham.com/equity.html .
If independently alone everyone is making $1 and with a cofounder we're making $4, then it makes sense to dilute each other's equity to 50%.
u living in a fantasy world

A thousand bucks :)

The reason I'd be able to live on $1000 per month is because I'd be drawing an additional $1000 from my savings. It's true a person can' live on $1000, but they can on $2000 (of course not in Manhattan), and still this sort of venture isn't for everybody, certainly not for the regular employee. The 50% equity is what makes it worth in my view, otherwise there are plenty of jobs that pay a lot more but never in a lifetime will they provide the opportunity that a startup could bring.

And "If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die" (Warren Buffet).

Add 2 zeros to that number. That's my nut. Sucks to be me.. lol

Now you're getting somewhere. You're traders so at least you're familiar with the concept of bid/ask. I'm placing my bid so I'm on the buy side, you're stating asks which puts you on the sell side.

If you *really* think there's value on the buy side, EAT YOUR OWN DOGSHIT and by all means, outbid me! You're definitely having a lot more money than I do so it would be even less of a risk / financial burden. And by paying $10,000 - $100,000 PER MONTH, like you kindly advise me to do, no doubt you're going to derive immense profits, which will pay out orders of magnitude the initial investment.

So please. Outbid me or shut the fuck up.

You're off the point. Not my bid(or my offer). That's what my life costs. Fact. Check your PMs. I'm not looking to be paid $1 or $1,000,000. Wrong direction on your reply.

Yeah I know: https://goo.gl/images/LHM7Yc

I replied to your PM before reading your answer here and deleted the disclaimer where I'm saying that what I'm saying above (and you're commenting on) is not directed on you but upon the jesters who find it amusing to troll me. I'd have to treat my butt for pustules from ass licks if the same jesters would be offered the money they're asking.

By the way, wise asses. I'm only the first in a long series to come of competitors who will not out-ask but out-bid you.

Get ready for the real challenge, motha***rz.
