Hillary Clinton win = what for the economy?

assuming Hillary wins the election,

what sectors will/might be affected the most?
[it could be that some sectors already have her factored in]

now,
even reasonable predictions have been know to be wrong
[politicians say lots of things campaigning, but
then don't follow through, or can't get something through congress]

She's vastly the lesser of two evils compared to Ronald McDonald straight off animal farm.

(And no, before anyone starts throwing accusations, I have no vested interest, I have no voting ability in the US, I don't even live in the US .... everyone outside of the US is quite frankly scared your country is going to turn into a laughing stock if Donald gets in, and as I said, Hilary is considered as the lesser of two evils, neither of them are smelling 100% of roses if you gauge sentiment outside the US).

People outside the US thought George Dubbya was bad (unbelievable any country would elect him a second time), but trust me, the sentiment towards Dubbya is nothing compared to the current ex-US sentiment that nobody can understand how any human with a pulse could possibly even contemplate voting for Donald !

P.S. If you still don't believe me about sentiment outside the US, just look at how much ex-US brokers are planning to hike up margins over the election period due to the perceived risks of severe volatility if Donald gets in instead of the Hilary that everybody's praying for :

"From 3pm on Friday 2 8 October, margin rates on MXN, ZAR, BRL and KRW crosses will increase to 5%. Margin rates on TRY crosses will increase to 3%.

From 3pm on Friday 4 November, margin rates on USD, JPY, EUR and CAD crosses will increase to 1%."

Well I'm not going to be drawn into the the old Americans and foreigners debate (or Americans who've never been outside their borders or whatever angle you want to take). So let's leave that particular topic right there.

What I will say, is if you don't want to listen to international sentiment, I'll just remind you of a statement from one of your own, H.L. Mencken who said "On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron".

Like it or not, that succinctly summarises what those outside your borders think. And like it or not, we live in a global society, and so the sentiment of others towards your leader is actually something that shouldn't be dismissed entirely out of hand.

I would expect war with Russia if she wins, so defense sector.. Gun makers will have a good run at first with impending bans.
Also Fed will keep rates low, not tighten this year and allow the economy to run hot.

If Trump wins I would not expect war with Russia but I would expect the Fed to tighten this year and continuing into the next year. This way the resulting economic slump can be blamed on captialism and free markets like always haha

I've no desire to turn this thread into a flame war. So if you're planning some smart-assed comment in an attempt to defend Trump, I've no interest in being drawn into it. Just wake up and smell the coffee as far as Trump is concerned.
