Hillary Clinton lying for 13 minutes straight.

Whatever pie, lol.

This whole thing illustrates a fundamental divide. Pie and his socialist pals think the way to grow the economy is to use taxes to punish successful people and give some of the money to the bottom end. They have various euphemisms for what is essentially theft, eg social justice, fairness, spreading the wealth around.

Conservatives believe the way to grow the economy is not to punish success but to encourage it. They feel it's better to see someone start a business and employ 100 people than have the government try to support most of them. Of course, if you do that, they aren't so dependent on the government and are likely to do crazy stuff like voting for republicans, so it is better to keep them on the reservation if possible. And you can always bring in large numbers of immigrants from countries where class warfare is the norm.

You are ignoring the rapidly increasing gap between the very wealthy and everyone else. Why don't conservatives understand this?

Oh that's right. They're just plain dumb.

This is a critically important graph. It is entirely consistent with the root cause of the skew in wealth distribution we see today. There are multiply contributing factors, but the root cause is the compounding over time of the effects of supply-side economics introduced in the early 1980s. Note that an exponential function is being obeyed.

That's exactly right in my opinion, so frankly no one cares that the top bracket would go from 40 to 54%, except those few individual making more then ten million of course. The trick is to put more money in the pockets of those nearer the bottom, that's exactly what Sanders plan will do in my opinion.
Yep. The people "at the bottom" outnumber the rich, say, 99 to 1. :D

That's where the leverage is.

Go ahead einstein... tell us with real info how Reagan's tax cuts impoverished people who don't even pay taxes..

(But... this is the coup de grace since you were just lying about your sides immigration policies...)

while you are checking the data -- Jane you ignorant slut... (a 1980s reference)
please factor in that your team had brought about 50 million immigrants since then. You think that may have something to do with more people not paying taxes?

Your ignorance just indicted everything you stand for... Bernie.

That's right too. You guys are all geniuses! Pat yourselves on the back. You especially Jem , since you figured out, apparently all by yourself, that Reagans supply-side economics eventually impoverished millions, so they don't pay any income tax! What a country! And we named an Airport after him! The beauty of Sanders plan is that many of these poor folks would once again become tax paying citizens!! Congratulations on the good work!

more leftist ignorance.
we talk about it all the time.

there are two ways to fix it which I have suggested.
(since taxing the middle class only makes this graph worse.)

Tax the top .2 percent and eliminate death and income taxes on everyone else.

Or don't tax anyone, grow jobs and eliminate the benefits cliff so it make financial sense for the the lower class to get jobs.

Or just make sure that the very wealthy are taxed a little more. The gold does no good sitting in vaults. Get it out into the economy. Fix bridges and fund research. Fuck the super wealthy.

I thought I and you together made it clear didn't we? Before Reagan they did pay taxes. After Reagan the number who pay incomes taxes decreased exponentially to the point where we reached Romney's, famous, or is it infamous, 47% . And it isn't coincidental. It is due to the cumulative effect 35 years of supply-side economics. Look at FC's chart and you can see for yourself. It is thirty-five years of drastically compressed income tax progressivity on top of continually taxing unearned income at lower rates than earned, plus steadily decreasing real wages in the face of inflation. One reaps what one sows.

There are two great sources of detailed economic discussion that make this quite clear. One is John Quiggin's "Zombie Economics" and the other Piketty's "Capital in the 21st Century." You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

It would be if only they understood what is happening to them, and voted. They do have the leverage, but will they use it?

For anyone who needs a little motivation to vote for Trump...... funny thing is that somehow politifact shows Hillary to be very honest.
(the last 30second is pure comedy gold. :D )

Imagine having such a liar as our next President. You wouldn't be able to trust anything she says. Or maybe she is schizophrenic or has a very bad memory. Not good qualities for a President either.
