Hillary Clinton Defies Subpoena, ‘Wiped Her Server Clean’

Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton failed to provide any new documents to the congressional panel investigating the Benghazi terrorist attacks, instead notifying the committee that she has “wipe[d] her server clean,” the lead investigator announced.

“After seeking and receiving a two week extension from the Committee, Secretary Clinton failed to provide a single new document to the subpoena issued by the Committee and refused to provide her private server to the Inspector General for the State Department or any other independent arbiter for analysis,” Representative Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.), the chairman of the select committee investigating the attacks, announced Friday evening.

“We learned today, from her attorney, Secretary Clinton unilaterally decided to wipe her server clean and permanently delete all emails from her personal server,” he continued. “While it is not clear precisely when Secretary Clinton decided to permanently delete all emails from her server, it appears she made the decision after October 28, 2014, when the Department of State for the first time asked the Secretary to return her public record to the Department.”

Clinton left it ambiguous, during her press conference, when asked about the existence of the emails. “At the end, I chose not to keep my private personal emails,” she said, while also insisting that “the server will remain private.”

There was some chatter about the House demanding she hand over the server, though that might be fruitless in light of her revelation.

“Not only was the Secretary the sole arbiter of what was a public record, she also summarily decided to delete all emails from her server ensuring no one could check behind her analysis in the public interest,” Gowdy said. “In light of the Secretary’s unprecedented email arrangement with herself and her decision nearly two years after she left office to permanently delete all emails and because the equities at stake involve not only those of the Select Committee and Congress more broadly, but also those of the American people and their right to the full record of her tenure as secretary of State, we will work with the leadership of the House of Representatives as the Committee considers next steps. But it is clear Congress will need to speak with the former Secretary about her email arrangement and the decision to permanently delete those emails.”

I guess this is just an extension of that new era of trust and transparency which was promised by Obama. Now tell me people, is this the best person the democratic party can come up with for a presidential candidate? Really? This is the type person you want in any government position, let alone president? Really? I mean, it's painfully obvious that we've been in a race towards mediocrity for several decades, but com'on. This is all we have left to choose from? Clinton or a clown car full of republican hacks? And you really expect people to take the time to vote? Why? Why would anyone with any intellectual sense waste their time believing this fraud of a political system will provide any real representation for them? Are we to believe that the list of stooges being presented is the very best the country has to offer? If that's the case, it's time we march on D.C and burn the fucking place to the ground.

Upset By Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Banks Debate Halting Some Campaign Donations

n-ELIZABETH-WARREN-large570.jpg

NEW YORK, March 27 (Reuters) - Big Wall Street banks are so upset with U.S. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren's call for them to be broken up that some have discussed withholding campaign donations to Senate Democrats in symbolic protest, sources familiar with the discussions said.

Representatives from Citigroup, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, have met to discuss ways to urge Democrats, including Warren and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, to soften their party's tone toward Wall Street, sources familiar with the discussions said this week.

Yep, well said. We are most likely going to end up with a presidential ticket of Bush vs Clinton2 political dynasties who both left office last time in disgrace, seems to be a perfect example as too how far this country has sunk. I mean is there anyone who really gives a fuck anymore if that is your 2 choices?

We know that Huma Abedin also used the server for emails.

I wonder if her husband, Carlos Danger, also used the server. I guess we will never know now.

Which is why, difficult as it is, I am advocating a voting protest if our choice is Clinton vs. Bush. I will not vote and neither should anyone else. I will not recognize such a criminally corrupt government that continues to perpetrate this type of fraud on it's people. I will not be persuaded that a 3rd party has any real chance in such a corrupt system. I will not live under the illusion that the people of this country have any real representation at any level of government.

This is another chapter in obstruction of justice for Hillary. Of course, the highly politicized Justice Department will do nothing. Only republicans get prosecuted these days, unless it is someone like Sen. Menedez who annoys King obama.

Congressional republicans could respond forcefully, but likely will not. For a starter, it's very disappointing that instead of a clear statement demanding she turn over what's left of her server farm and calling it what it clearly is, obstruction, we get this mealy mouth statement from Trey Gowdy.

We are seeing a disturbing pattern. Obama is effectively above the law, since democrats will block any attempts to rein him in and republicans are too cowardly to use the purse strings to stop him. Now Hillary has made a pretty clear statement that she is above the law as well. Eric Holder has acted as if congress doesn't exist his entire wretched tenure. Harry Reid ran roughshod over republicans and they basically wagged their tails and begged for more of the same. Fro example, have they changed the Senate rule on filibustering nominations? No, they still have the rule Reid instituted that reversed decades of Senate practice.
