tha's why i ask Landis to test on miranda servers and post results here.

Comcast (and maybe others) have figured out how to beat these speed testing websites with their "speed boost" technology.
In case you don't know what this is; For the first n seconds, comcast will give you a burst of bandwidth, afterwards, your bandwidth drops down to the regular speed. It skews the average (and max) speed results on these test sites. Thats why it looks like you might have 10mbits when you are only paying for a 6mbit service. Marketing genius.
pretty big difference between miranda and speakeasy on download speed. exactly what i was expected.you have to run and compare those tests on at least 2-3 servers from NDT servers and compare them to speakeasy @ same time, cause you have shared network and speeds may vary from day to day. make sure, you not using internet for anything else during the test.Quote from Landis82:
running 10s outbound test . . . . 2.30 Mb/s
client to server
running 10s inbound test . . . . . 7.03 Mb/s
server to client

Notes:
The theoretical network limit is 137.42 Mbps
The NDT server has a 127.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 26.10 Mbs
Your PC/Workstation has a 63.0 KByte buffer whiich limits the throughput ;to 6.52 Mbps
The network based flow control limits the throughput to 9.48 Mbps.
