High Leverage trading with Metatrader (400:1, 500:1)

I am using the same platform.

The difference is, that the first thing that i told my broker (it was bit confusing at first), -
that : i don't wan't any leverage, no CFD's and it should be impossible to go short for me.

Now making 30% swings in 1 - 3 months & sleeping like a baby.

The leverage will not help you to move faster, but the right strategy will.

So your real leverage is much lower? So you agree that higher leverage is risky, if you use the correct definition of leverage (exposure divided by available trading capital, not just what's in your account?)

I suppose there are some pyschological advantages there, if you completely lack self control. But I can think of plenty of disadvantages as well. You will constantly have to worry about margin calls. Once you start losing money, and feeding money into your account to replenish it, it will be similar emotionally to feeding coins into a slot machine. Very easy to burn through your notional trading capital and start spending other money that you hadn't originally earmarked for trading.

Ditto. Leverage should be considered as "vs. your entire trading capital", not just against one small account or trade. (I've traded a long time and have only occasionally been levered even 2:1. I was inspired to mostly avoid leverage by something I saw on a bumper sticker once.... "Shit Happens"!)

I am coming to the conclusion that many threads on this site are started by the mischievous or not so bright, who then leave and watch from the sidelines, those who swim into view with an opinion.

I doubt the notion of "mischievous"... you know, posting blarney just to goof on other people. But as to "inexperienced, hopeful, dumbass" posts about many topics... plenty of that.

Looking for high leverage trade with metatrader (400x/500x). Are there better platforms than MT4/MT5? Appreciate your suggestions.

You should just donate your money to a charitable foundation instead of a bucket shop broker. Good luck man.

Or better yet burn it instead of firewood. It'll keep you warm and you'll see it go up in flames anyway. Same thing you know. Minus the high or rush you'll get from high leverage. I know a good therapist.
