Hiding Online Status

How come, just curious, in the upper right corner of the main page it shows the names of members on line, but if you count them there are not as many as it says are online in the part : ("members, guests, robots") like right now I count 8 names but it says 15 are online. How do I hide my name?

Click on your name at top right of the page, and then uncheck the box labeled "Show Online Status".

Of course you do because you aren't hidden from yourself.

It's other people that won't be able to see that you're online.
