I agree with much of your assessment. I think you are correct regarding his running mate. It will determine if he gets my vote or not. I won't say who I'd like to see just yet, but you can probably make a pretty good guess.

The right was already screwed...by their own party...and more than once. Two huge consecutive congressional victories, and the base that elected them was still thrown under the bus. The voters have been scorned by their own leaders. The majority leaders unnecessarily ceded more power to the executive. They broke most of the promises made during the election cycles on several issues (what a surprise!). Many of these scorned voters are saying "fuck you" to their traitorous, lying RINO reps and senators, and Trump is their middle finger.

Additionally, I think it's safe to say his total disregard of PC is most refreshing to many. He has also done a great service for the voters on the right (and some independents in the middle) by pulling back the curtain on the real republican party and what many of them think of the voters who elected them.

And yet, many of these RINOs still don't get it.

You left out the most important point.
Clinton is exactly the establishment pinata Trump needs to win.

As the establishment gave us losers like McCain and Dole and to some degree Romney when we should have won. (maybe not dole)

The establishment just gave us Hillary when they should have picked a less flawed candidate.

Hillary had criminal justice problems in that she committed felonies and we have proof.
Hillary lied her ass off.
The 3 am phone call came and her and obama were stoned or drunk.
She is one of the least likable politicians in America in recent history.
Half her base dislikes her so much they voted for an old communist.

Trump has a strong chance of winning because of who he is running against. Remember he just got the most votes in history not because he was a great candidate but because he was anti establishment. Bernie got so many votes for the same reason.

The Right is truly screwed. There is no way that Trump will win, and everyone willing to look can see it now. The Democrats are going to destroy him, mostly with Aikido, using Trump's own stupidity against him. If the Republicans try to oust him at the convention, they will be seen as subverting the will of the (crazy) people. So at this moment, the only avenue I can see is anchoring Trump's crazy with a solid running mate. But that raises two questions, First who in his right mind and with any political future wants to go down with the S.S. Trump? Second, can there ever be enough bread for a turd sandwich?

I have the correct way of looking at things. Trump is going to face stuff a lot harsher than what he has faced already. Deal with it. I suspect Trump will continue his ramblings about how unfairly he has been treated. Wahhh, Wahhh, Wahh. This system let him screw creditors out of billions of dollars, but somehow, he was the guy who was screwed in his mind.

Is a Paul Ryan a coward? Let time I checked, Paul Ryan introduced a bill that would balance the budget. You claimed it was too aggressive. So what is he, a coward or too aggressive? Both cannot be correct.

Newt is not in government anymore and cannot vote on things that concern me, so I have very little regard for what he says at this point. In the instances where I hear him, he comes across as semi-pro Trump. I am really not sure what your beef with Newt is.

That's what happens when people make promises they can't keep.

As I had mentioned in the past, I like Bernie Sanders. And while I don't agree with everything he wants to do, on balance I think the country would be better off if he could actually deliver on his promises. But I don't think he can, and that is why I think Clinton is a more viable candidate. She is not promising the world, just a slightly better one (in the eyes of Democrats). Similarly, the Tea Party guys went in promising the world to the farther Right. But they didn't get to operate in a vacuum of their own choosing and had to adjust to the real world of opposing forces. And now, Trump has upped the ante. What's wrong with this picture?

I don't normally agree with much of what you write, but I do on occasion. This is one of them. I don't mind when people disagree with me. But what I don't like is opportunistic inconsistency, better known as hypocrisy. Some folks here talk out of both sides of their mouths, and it's nice when you put a pin in those butterflies.

I'm not a fan of any of those guys, but I think it would be more cowardly for them to just go along to get along than to stand by their convictions. They see that Trump is bad for the country and they rather do what they believe is right than what's momentarily popular.
