My question is why junior stopped at 1.65 million. My guess is that was the peak. I'd really like to see his results after the audited time period. He was able to cherry pick. I bet he got wacked during the following months

Actually, not to defend Timmay, but the current Trader Monthly magazine SLAMMED Timmay to the mats HARD! They said you wont see HUMILITY-CHALLENGED Tim Sykes in the 30 Under 30 article because he went from "wunderkind" to "Ryan Leaf-like LAUGHING STOCK!"
................OUCH!!! I can see the Batman graphics now.....POW!......BLAM!......BOOM!

PS: Ryan Leaf was a college football star who was supposed to be an "up and coming" Pro Football SUPERSTAR.............but became a huge disappointment and faded away.

All I can say is that I wish I could turn 13K to 1.6 mil. He may not be on top of his game nowbut the record stays. No need for so much hate. As for his book, hey there are millions of books that are worth shit trading or otherwise. If he can make a buck writing one, then more power to him. As for being cocky, may people are assholes without any base to it and with a lot less accomplishments than he has under his belt. :D :D :D

1) If you were trading from '98-'01, you could have done that too. It was done by literally thousands of guys who barely had a clue what a bid/ask was. And now they are long gone from the markets because they couldn't make money after 2001...which is exactly the case for "Snake Oil" Sykes (he knows he was a product of the market, now he's trying to make a living selling the dream to poor schleps because he can't make money trading).

2) His "record" is worthless now. Almost 5 years without turning a profit easily overrides any "bubble era" stat. Just look at his past 19 months....DOWN 36%!!!! The last 4+ years he has returned 1% per year!!!!!

On top of everything else, the kid is an absolute prick.
 
Well, you would have thought with all the gains he made early on he could at least afford a maid, and not have his mother cleaning his friggin' toilet. How pathetic is that?

For all I know his 1.6 million isn't even in returns, it is from investors's money being added to the "fund".
