Hey. "This Occupy Wall Street" thing is starting to grow.

Some of the hardened criminals the police rounded up

People should not have the illusion that they can drive the LAPD off!! Some Bradely appointee idiot on the police commission made the rounds of the precincts and told them the plan was to not stop the rioters, not make them upset! The precincts that got the message had terrible destruction, the precincts that didn't get the message nipped it all in the bud...

Which precincts? The ones in the line of fire? LAPD take direct orders from a commission member? I do remember one neighborhood with a machine gun mounted jeep, and didn't appear to be police equipment.

The #1 demand of the protesters is an end to free trade - which would be a disaster.

Having said that, the protesters are organized better than the police!

Video recorders and live internet streams are everywhere.

The cops are being monitored on their radio frequencies. "Abusive" cops have been photographed and will soon be identified.

Calls for financial help and food have gone out around the world (you can wire or mail money, and there is a list of local eateries that will deliver to the protest sites).

You can stay for free with a list of people given on a "couch surfing" website.

Protesters are organized with legal advice that affirms the right to sleep on sidewalks. etc.

And most importantly, the protesters are brazen enough to eat at the opposition from within! Calls are being made for every cop to inform on their superiors while the identities of the informants will be kept anonymous.

*Don't be surprised if this is the one protest that will produce some lasting effects.*

Told ya.

Some of the tech savvy protesters identified the badge of "Anthony V. Bologna" as the badass who maced the girls inside the orange fence and then ran away.

The protesters are creating a stage where the police have to behave perfectly! And codes of conduct for the police are more stringent than for protestors. This is an interesting inversion.

Looks like Officer Bologna is going to find himself and his department in a bit of trouble. Probably a reprimand and a million dollar settlement from the city for assault will be the result of his carelessness.

Of course the city has tons of dough. I just read where the City paid $12 million to subsidize housing for dead people.

This is a common event on the well traveled road to socialism. Buncha layabouts with nothing better to do causing trouble. Violence and civil strife followed up by an ever stronger federal government.

Boomers have quite the retirement plan. Capitalism (more or less) during our working years, then socialism and massive government control when we no longer have a job. I vaguely remember something about a social contract - our ancestors giving us this great country with the understanding that we'd pass it on.

Well screw that! I don't have any kids so I'm just delighted to @$$ rape the future generations, even if all I get out of it is a super sized fries. Gen X, your retirement's gonna suck. And Gen Y, ROFLMAO! You guys'll be lucky to have cat food. Thanks for voting for big government types all those years, we couldn't have done it without both of you.

I suppose some of you are mad at us. But it's not like you wouldn't be doing the exact same thing in our shoes except faster and bigger. This country grows more fond of government solutions for every problem with every generation.

Crap, I'm out of bourbon.

ring ring

"Hello senator? I've got an urgent problem that needs to be immediately addressed by the US Government."
