My father was a college professor at Columbia University in NYC. My mom was a student there. They divorced when I was 1 year old. My mom raised me as a single parent on welfare and food stamps. My mom, as well as myself when I got older, actively participated in Leftist causes and protests.
So although you may be right I was a dumb kid, look at my upbringing. Thank God I had enough of an open mind to consider other points of view and was able to compare how each side tended to operate. I tend towards social Liberalism and fiscal Conservatism. However, the state of the Democratic Party has deteriorated over the years as leaders started to embrace Socialism, racism etc, and misinformation.
