Lots of good things and bad things have happened in the past.
Your question though was "what is the difference between liberals and conservatives" today or similar question.
My response was to say that conservatives don't want the looting and burning, and your response was basically to say "I am down with it, stuff has happened in the past too, so what's the big deal."
You are basically confirming that there is a difference there between liberals and conservatives.

Okay. You asked what conservatives stand for. And I pointed out something that they do stand for these days versus what liberals stand for. I see that you are sensitive about being a liberal and did not want to bring that into the discussion. I understand.

Im certainly not for looting of anything. What I am for is an understanding of our country and it’s history.
There is a history of rioting and looting at critical times in American history. Whether during the American Revolution or the civil rights era - it’s just how it goes.
Now you and your ilk think in the same context as King George and Bull Conor, that if you focus your rhetoric on villianizing and grouping the people with legitimate gripes in with the rabble rousers the problem will disappear. All you’re doing is prtracting the inevitable. Whether it’s American independence or equal opportunity or criminal justice reform your ilk is perpetual losers and just exacerbate the situation needlessly.
The point is that what your doing isn’t going to work and that’s your American history lesson for the day.
Now Trump like you does not know American history well so you’re poorly oriented and think this argument will get you to the promise land but the truth is you’re just hopelessly lost.

You think looting and killing cops is partriotic.
You have made that point sufficiently.
And those who agree with you should support the party that is supported by looters.
More cops died from catching Covid on the job than any other job related reason this year.
And you and Trump think letting a pandemic run out of control is patriotic.
And for the record I have a sibling in law enforcement. If you care anything about cops you would 1. Back responsible gun ownership laws 2. Fight like hell to control Covid and 3. Get more homeless and mental health funding.
We are not disagreeing.
I am supporting you. You want to argue that- among other things- that lots of people have looted before in American history so it's all fine, and more cops have died from covid than being killed by rioters and thugs so killing cops is okay.
Go for it. Keep working for the Trump campaign. There are many areas now where you would not want to go door to door with that campaign rap. For your own protection. Not popular in some areas. Increasingly not popular in areas such as between the Atlantic Coast and the Pacific Coast and in between. Other than that. It's all good.
