Hey Hillary, Elizabeth Warren is coming for you!!!

We all remember the Hillary hype from 2004 through 2007. She was supposed to win every state in the primaries and then win a landslide generel election. The polls all had north of 50% for the dem nomination. There was the interview when Couric asked her what she would do if she was not nominated and Hillary looked back in shock that someone would even suggest that she wouldnt win the nomination. Of course once the voting began, it quickly became apparent that the dems were rejecting her, and the media jumped on the bash Hillary bandwagon. We all know the final result.

Now, we have similar situation. Hillary and her supporters have inked in as the next President and anyone who suggests she wont win the nomination and the general election and targeted and attacked by Hillary surrogates.

It is beginning to look like history is repeating itself and this Elizabeth Warren is making some noise. She says she wont run but this is big effort in the anti-Hillary parts of the democrat party who are trying to draft her. Obama also said he wasn't running at first. If she decides to run, she will handle Hillary quite easily.

BTW, I think this Elizabeth Warren is a far left wackjob and am by no means a supporter. I am just highlighting the fact that Warren is Hillary's worst nightmare.

Last time Hillary lost she started crying and complained that people weren't nice to her. I would to see a replay of that moment. It would be great to see Hillary lose and see the fecal stain that is the Clintons, finally be scrubbed free from the fabric of America.

Obama elbowed Hillary off the stage with Soros funding. Then he messed things up so badly that the prospects for any Democrat being POTUS are dimmed...

I'm through arguing American politics like there was any possibility of a good outcome. Republicans might have a little resurgence but the future is run by Blacks, Mexicans and Marxists. Think about that, think about the horror of living in Africa for Blacks even, think about shitty Mexico with all the natural resources that the US has and 50% literacy + poverty + pollution. Think about the horrors of life under Stalin. Now combine all that shit and you have the US.

I was searching out where to escape to based on tax laws but recently I realized that life is all about the demographics. It's all about the demographics, everything else is only a minor effect.

lol

Yeah Pocahontas has leaped far to the left of Clinton and the money will flow to her. There is no room for a left-centrist in the democratic party in this polarized atmosphere. I'm delighted at the prospect of her being nominated as the leftist candidate for the presidency. Remember George McGovern?

the media is playing it that way, because they need a story. Hillary likes Warren, because she can take care of all the leftwing nutcases and leave the moderates to her. Once Hillary gets the nomination she will have the complete support of 5 tv networks.

You've come a long way baby, but now gender is everything. We're done with race, we already did that.

Hillary is like their Romney, only without the obvious qualifications. Someone who ticks off all the boxes to be their dream candidate--she is even a true victim of male sexual excess if only indirectly--but she has the same problem Romney has. Terrible political skills and a personality that is hard to warm up to.

Warren has a lot of faults but at least she is authentic in her craziness. Frankly, some of her positions are not all that crazy. Why should big banks be allowed to put government guaranteed funds at risk trading derivatives and pursuing other non-core functions?

she doesn't seem too concerned that we loan gov guaranteed money to students, and she even wants to lower the rate, and now we are going to start guaranteeing 3% down home loans again.

Hillary doesn't need a personality, all she needs is a vagina. No white male is going to beat her in 2016.

Republicans are the party of missed opportunities. Let's review. They score a stunning election victory. Within weeks, they have backstabbed their base, confirmed the democrats worst class hatred arguments about them and totally rolled over on the two biggest issues, obamacare and immigration.

A clever republican, that pretty much narrows it down to Ted Cruz, could make some hay here by throwing in with Warren on the bank issue, criticizing the House for blocking the DC weed initiative and putting up a one man fight over obamacare.

It's been fascinating though to watch the media pivot. If republicans blocked the budget, they were irresponsible, not capable of governing and damaging their party irreparably. When Warren opposed the bill however, it was all about courage and principled opposition to a sleazy deal. She was presidential even. Any media bias there, db?

Max. You've made some astute observations, but they don't seem to support your thesis that "...[Obama] messed things up so badly that the prospects for any Democrat being POTUS are dimmed..."

It seems you've made a pretty good case why the next election may have nothing to do with how Obama has done, but rather with demographics. Were it not for the fact that we don't elect our presidents democratically, the demographics, when running on a national stage, would seem to favor a democrat candidate. Yet there is another factor perhaps even more important than demographics, the Electoral College. It only takes winning in the right combination of states to gain the White House. That's what those who want to predict the next election's outcome need to be looking at, i.e., Electoral College votes in combination with the demographics needed to obtain them.

The ninth grade civics version of why we have an Electoral College is that nothing traveled faster than a horse in the 18th Century. The correct explanation is that the Founders had no intention of turning over election of the President to the hoi polloi.
