1. In non school teacher circumstances, I don't really care how a person identifies or if they wear a wig and high heels... that is their choice. I don't even need to judge it nor do I judge it. Its irrelevant.

2 I don't even think its necessarily wrong... especially because some were incorrectly assigned an agenda.

3. finally... for the sake of the safety of the women and girls...the only safe answer is that people with a penis should use the men's room or the one person at a time bath rooms. Its not safe to allow men into rooms with girls. Putting a wig on does not reduce the safety risk. Why don't you lefties understand that point. its not about transgender brains... its about criminal men. the wig and heels aspect is irrelevant to the safety issue... unless you were to show that putting a wig on a criminal makes them non criminal.

4. I note that there a plenty of cases of men doing bad things in the women's rooms... being cited in the conservative media lately...just to counter your specious argument about no problems happening.

"Because you think it is wrong for a transgender person to identify with the opposite biological sex, would you then want, a transgender person in a dress and high heels and long hair and with a female voice, and appearing to at least a casual observer to be a female, to use the mens' restroom?"

The possible answers are: 1. I would want the person who looks like a woman to use the men's restroom.

2. I would want the person who looks like a woman to use the women's restroom.

The only reasonable answer, of course, is #2.

You can't answer because you a have dug a hole for yourself from which the only escape is to admit your position on this issue is ridiculous because it either leads to a person being denied access to a restroom, or requires that a person appearing to be a man use the women's restroom, or that a person who looks like a women use the men's bathroom.

And just what percent of the population is transgender? Considering how few people this applies too, why is this a political issue at all. Don't we have more important problems than your concern that a person with a dick might be in one of those stalls in the women's restroom?

The other side though is, isn't everyone better off if those low wage employees have a job, even if they get some assistance? It's not clear if the alternatives are status quo and paying them more. It could be status quo or half of them lose their jobs.

Well the unknown here is how many lose their jobs permanently because of a rise in the minimum wage? Possibly similar wage hikes in the past can be used as a guide. Economists produce various estimates from near zero to some substantial number. I have seen comments in some studies, can't tell you where now, to the effect that job loss due to hikes in the minimum is temporary. That there is commonly a loss initially that dissipates within 6 months or so. It is probably not a very reliable thing to base what might happen nationally, but the economies are booming in those markets that have locally raised their minimums. I personally believe this will be the effect nationally, but it wouldn't happen overnight. And of course no sane person would contemplate making up a 31% wage loss in one fell swoop. Any big increase must be phased in to allow businesses time to adjust.

I think the experts, and I doubt any of us qualify, would say your sexual identity is something no one can assign to you but its something that arises naturally from your psyche, and your sexual identity, while almost always agreeing with your biology, doesn't always agree.

I am a firm believer in deferring to experts on matters that are not part of our everyday experience.
