Hey Democrats, you want wage increases? How about applying the principles of free market economics.

If there were cost measures in the bill, the ACA would have received some bi-partisan support.
Not if one of the parties had stated from the beginning that they were going to oppose everything the president wanted. See also: Supreme Court nominations.

When gov't sticks its nose where it doesn't belong, like between an employee and an employer in the private sector, the business has an incentive to just close down the plant and move production offshore to friendlier locales. And then set up an offshore company in the bvi to hold the profits tax free of the US Goobermint. Oh, wow. I just realized. That's exactly what they are doing.
Good.

I don't think we're going to reach an agreement here. Don't ask me how I know; I just sense these things. :D

That's probably true...But my opinion isn't one that is borne of callous disregard for people's well-being. Reckless monetary policy should be the central argument. Again, why are we seeing record rent increases in a stagnant, no wage growth economy? If rents were to have declined (to match the lack of wage growth) then there would not be this level of angst amongst the lower wage earners...If food, medical, tuition costs hadn't exploded, again not this level of angst.

Yes, I made a similar point earlier in this thread. The interference in business regulation (over many decades now) has already shuttered many businesses, and now it's just a continuation of this ideology. If business had no alternative, then they could probably get away with it...but as we've seen, when given the options businesses flee high tax, overly regulated locales in favor of more business friendly climates.

you had multiple vague I perfectly answered the point of your question.
People with a penis should not be in a womens room.

As far as whether its wrong or not. that is not for me to judge for some or most. As I have written multiple times before... I know that before dna test some people born with ambiguous genitalia could have been incorrectly assigned a sex.

You never answered my question. And I know why. It's because there is only one rational answer, and you can't bring yourself to be rational, because it would be an admission that your position is wrong.

Obviously, real estate prices play a role, fueled in part by foreign investment. Here in Canada, there is a fairly sizeable disconnect between wages and real estate prices, particularly in larger cities. Monetary policy isn't helping.

Nothing is more "business friendly" than an amenable Third World country. Is that the kind of business environment makeover you're looking for in the US?

How's this: Any full-time job should at least provide a living wage. Period. People should not have to have more than one full-time job just to make ends meet for basic living needs. You want families to spend more time together so that they can raise their children to have a better chance of leading productive lives? Well, this might be a good place to start.

Your turn.
This is very general. A living wage for a single person is different than a living wage for a family of four (or larger). Approximately what rate per hour do you think is appropriate?
