Hey Democrats, you want wage increases? How about applying the principles of free market economics.

Anyone else sick of these democrats bitching about wages. These are the same assholes who want to flood the labor market with low skill workers for other countries.

I'm about sick of business owners complaining about labor costs.

Just another way to kill off small business...Big business will figure out a way to automate away some of the cost, but the small business will just vanish (it's been ongoing for several decades anyway)...

ha ha, small business is like weeds, they will sprout up everywhere. There is no stopping it, but I agree, once Monsanto is in control there is very little hope for the weeds.

The lobbyist's, as contracted by big business, have a job to do...Namely, figure out how to put up as many roadblock's as possible to ensure the monopoly like structures of key industries aren't jeopardized. Goosing mandatory min wage laws is just another tactic...

yes my friend, but many before me have tried time and time again to supress nature, and their failures are monumental. One side wins for a short while, but the natural side wins eventually. (the split is quite debatable, based on literature and music and art I would say about 90% of the time the bad side wins, but not in the end. (Or at least that is the way I like to believe.))

If you expect intellectual honesty and consistency from liberals, you will live a life of disappointment.

What exactly is the distinction between a Christian baker refusing to participate in celebrating a gay marriage and Bruce Springsteen refusing to play in NC over some obscure law? In each case someone is withholding personal services over a point of principle.

well said
it gets complicated when some of us still don't want blacks in our drugstore
Fine with me, why would I want to go into a drugstore that doesn't want black customers?
And what is really baffeling is, why would a Black even want to go in there? It's not like it is really nice or special or anything. As a matter of fact, if they don't allow blacks it is probably pretty trashy and not a place you would want to go. And I need a law for all of that?
and don't forget, to enforce that law I need to know what you are

Unions whining about unfair pay at Bernie rally:

"It was Bernie’s second talk of the day. Earlier he did a speech backing the Verizon strike. Their workers are mad about the terrible pay they get from a corporation that makes $1.5B a month in profits. I talked to some of the striking workers and asked them if it’s true they make a reported $140K a year. “That’s a lie Verizon is spreading,” one man told me. “It’s only that if you add up all our benefits and health care. The actual money we take home is only half that.” Striking when you make $20K a year more than the average American and get another $70K in benefits. These unions aren’t protecting their workers. They’re pricing them out of the market."

There's a crucial distinction between a Christian baker refusing to participate in celebrating a gay marriage and Bruce Springsteen refusing to play in NC.

In refusing to perform, Springsteen didn't refuse his services to or against a particular person or persons because of who they are. That would be discrimination. Essentially because of that, by refusing to perform, his was a protest.

If he had refused to perform or withhold services to members of an audience because some were black or because some were heterosexual or because they were not heterosexual or because some were Christian, and he considered any of those offended his conscience, that would be discrimination.

So he was protesting against the government of a state which was discriminating against people because of who they are.
