As electricshocks stated there seems to be a program firing 1000 lots for microseconds in the bund and also in the bobl, but unlike the old Rotter boy this guy doesn't seem that keen on flipping those prices... any ideas why somebody would be taking the risk without actually making any apparent money out of this specific move?

I stated the reason above. They're just trying to influence other programs (Or a nervous finger).
The other programs may have an entry or exit based on market bid/ask size

A while back the Merc fined a guy 10k for it because he put his clearing house at risk because he was way over the line. Maybe he can back it up with cash who knows.
I understand your frusteration though, trading is difficult enough without some a hole playing games.
Why not pick him off for a 1 lot and try and find out his trading ID and clearing firm? Then you can figure out who it is.
If you are or you know a member this should show up after an executed trade.
