Romney has unofficial clear lead in the 2016 Republican nomination according to recent poll:

I would say the survey was poorly done, but we have pretty solid evidence from the last two campaigns that republican primary voters are not overly sophisticated.
 
If Romney came out and said he would cap spending, eliminate the income tax, seal the border... and not go with amnesty til every american had a job... I would be happy to vote for him.

He is one of the smartest most accomplished guys to run for office in my memory. its too bad he did not have the balls to say he was going to really cut taxes.

Perhaps Ryan was the problem
 
I like Romney as a person. I liked both Bushes. They were terrible presidents however.

I think romney would be better but he had his chance and he blew it. I see no evidence that he learned anything from the experience. He based his whole campaign on his supposedly better judgment and managerial competence, but his campaign was poorly run and he made one disastrous mistake after another.

The fact he actually picked Paul Ryan as his VP candidate pretty well sums it up. He preferred a guy he was comfortable with to a guy who gave him a chance to win.

We really have no idea what his policies would be, since he was apparently prepared to say whatever he thought would appeal to voters. We do know he is a big supporter of even more mideast adventures.

I can't imagine he would even run again. it's better to be the guy that people wish would run than the guy voters reject.

I have nothing personal against Romney either. But all things considered I'd rather he not run.
 
Romney was right again...

"Yeah. A couple of things. One, you probably know that it is my view that the withdrawal of all of our troops from Iraq by the end of this year is an enormous mistake and a failing by the Obama administration. Secretary Panetta and others had indicated they were working to put in place a Status of Forces Agreement to maintain our presence there, so that we could most effectively transition to the Iraqi military and Iraqi security forces providing security for their country.

Romney will not get my vote in the primary... I am just pointing out how obama was lying or wrong with just about everything he said.
unless he says and does what I mentioned early in this thread.
