Quote from nononsense:Obviously you could not pull these of the board by yourself. No futher spin needed, your above statement is most remarkable. I certainly have no explanation for this.Maybe I have more power than you. But in a community like this, power only comes with credibility. Credibility cannot be gained by flaming. That's why your posts are being deleted. Period.
dbphoenix has nothing whatsoever to do with this, I quote him only to CONFIRM the disappearance of a number of pages. The rest of your habitual spin, here on dbphoenix, is irrelevant.[/B]
LOL! Getting cold feet now, are we? :D So shall I get db' over here to confirm you're a major spinner, liar and flamer?

You realize you're getting yourself in deeper and deeper, don't you? I told you liars better have a good memory - Now it's coming back to haunt you!

Stop it man. Let it rest. It's all good. Get some therapy and then come back. Don't reply anymore, in your own best interest.

Peace,

Hello Jack,

I attempted to complete the next couple of steps.

I gave each list it's appropriate score.

I manually went through each chart of each stock and looked for the stocks that had a rally of 20% or more, within an 8 day period, at least 5 times, in the last 6 months.

I also included the shorting list from the down stocks at the top of the scan.

Does this seem right to you?

Am I a millionaire yet?

Thanks,
gotta_trade

Magna should moderate this forum on a temporary basis, I'm sure that she would do a good job.

These stocks qualify with five 20% moves in six months. I did not take into account direction. If the stock moved 20% up or down 5 times in 6 months, I included them.

LAVA
ENDP
TALX
AVID
PSUN
ASKJ
DRIV
NFLX
SINA
FDRY

It is notable that nearly all of these look like they are about to roll over, volume is falling.

HELE did not make the cut. Too flat.

Quote from Charles Mackay, LL.D.
in "Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Maddness of Crowds", 1841:

Chapter 1

Money Mania. - The Mississipi Scheme

Some in clandestine companies combine;
Erect new stocks to trade beyond the line;
With air and empty names beguile the town,
And raise new credits first, then cry 'em down;
Divide the empty nothing into shares,
And set the crowd together by the ears.
—Defoe.
Two facts:

(1) Pages can disappear from an ET thread at any convenient moment.

(2) The following has been posted on this thread:
"I've actually got some good relations to the moderators, and I get them to delete your posts all the time - You didn't notice? "

Daniel and Charles,

My humble keyboard is not sharp enough to rival with your eternal wit that keeps on floating on the Internet. You made me wise enough to clear out of this mess.

To Jack and bubba7,

Great job fellows, I'm putting my cash register back in the attic. Jack, you have nothing to do with the mess as described above. Bowing to your joined talents, although on a level slightly lower than Daniel and Charles, I say goodbye to you assuring you both that you will do very well around here. Keep it up till Labor Day!

Jacky Bubby sat on a wall,
Jacky Bubby had a great fall
None of the horses and the queen's men
Can put Jacky Bubby together again.

Ohhh, okay.

So the 20% moves should come from the long side only.

Got It.

BTW: Why is that?

That's how Jack trades equities. :) He focusses on stocks with strong EPS and RS.

If you look in the Documents area at
http://groups.msn.com/ShortTermStockTrading/general.msnw?pgmarket=en-us

you will find a zip file called assessmentsheets.zip . It contains assessment sheets for a couple of hundred stocks. That will give you a better understanding of candidate selection.

It has to be 100 stocks universe in your screener. Then follow a trend of the stock you are tracking, which must be easier than spotting a new trend just before it starts. Let the stock retrace with good volume (macd below 0). Wait for the volume to dryup intradays and different fractals (5, 10, 15, 30 min). It can be many or few days.

Now price stabilize, slowly price starts to pick up intradays and different fractals (keep a log), volume increase (macd reaching 0 line), look for the breakout, but still do not enter, until how price is holding up in the different fractals. If it is not a false breakout by evening, then enter with the trend, and leave before money velocity starts slowing down. Goodluck.

This is what I learn from Jack plus my experience. You enter trend late and leave early (middle part of the trend same philosophy by John Henry)). No speculation use stoploss, and trailing stop if trend is moving.
