According to research at Yale University, white Democrats are every bit as racist as white Republicans, and in some cases even more so.

"... white Republicans nationally are 25 percentage points more likely on average to vote for the Democratic senatorial candidate when the GOP hopeful is black, says economist Ebonya Washington of Yale University in a forthcoming article in the Quarterly Journal of Economics... But racially motivated crossover voting is not just a Republican phenomenon. Democrats also desert their party when its candidate is black, Washington found. In House races, white Democrats are 38 percentage points less likely to vote Democratic if their candidate is black."

Satisticians call that "self-selection." Until recently, virtually all black candidates chose to run as democrats. If they only run as democrats, they can't be elected as Republicans. It's statistically impossible.

The Yale research I mentioned in my previous post controls for self-selection by measuring voter attitudes directly. The research shows that white Democrats are at least as racist as white Republicans. If you look at all the data, democrats are even more racist than republicans in congressional elections.

In the November 2010 election, Tim Scott and Allen West (Black Southern Republicans) overwhelmingly carried the white Republican vote in their districts.

Blacks don't run as republicans because they know they have virtually no chance to win and 2 small congressional district wins doesn't change that


Democratic whites are much more likely to vote for a black democrat then republican whites are to vote for black republicans

Democrats don't just vote for blacks in small congressional elections,democrats voted Obama for Senate,Deval Patrick for Governor and Obama for president.

When republicans have 40 black members in congress(democrats had more then 40 before the 2010 elections) ,a black governor and a black president you will have a better argument
