I think the republican party shoud hire this guy. He obviously knows what he's doing.
Every time I think that the Republicans have issues, the liberal Democrats put out something like this as the stance of their party...

Yeah, but forget for a moment about what welfare should look like and just think about this. Everyone would get the income - work or not - and it would (or should) replace ALL OTHER WELFARE). One program would cut back on fraud to zero (other than illegals) and it would be smaller government by far. Gone is the lobbying on food stamps, or housing subsidies, or whatever. It's just one lump sum, paid monthly. It'd be far easier to track, and much more manageable than what is currently administered.
Given the choices, I'd be for it.
Of course, this doesn't mean I support welfare at all. I'm just saying between the crap we have now (which is getting way out of hand) and this, it makes sense. If this is what it takes to get the moonbats to stop with out of control welfare, then maybe this isn't such a bad idea.
How about we think of political office like we think of markets - in terms of big money.

Nothing special left or right is "being rejected at the national level". This election is about to become number 27 out of 29 midterm elections since 1900 where the incumbent party has lost seats.

ANCHORAGE — Sen. Ted Cruz spent the final weekend of the midterms on the far edge of the country trying to help fellow Republican Dan Sullivan win a race the GOP is counting on in its effort to retake the Senate.
It’s a team-player role the tea party firebrand from Texas has filled a handful of times this fall — but one he plans to abandon if Republicans win control of both congressional chambers.
In an interview at the Hotel Captain Cook here between campaign stops for Sullivan, Cruz made it clear he would push hard for a Republican-led Senate to be as conservative and confrontational as the Republican-led House.
Piggybacking on what House leaders have done, Cruz said the first order of business should be a series of hearings on President Obama, “looking at the abuse of power, the executive abuse, the regulatory abuse, the lawlessness that sadly has pervaded this administration.”
