Not only that, but, but what AID's funding was he talking about??? * The guy just pulls numbers out of his ass. They are real numbers, but they always apply to something other than what he's talking about. He's talking about the Southern border now and the imagined caravans of rapists and murderers and Fentanyl . Then suddenly, out of nowhere ," 200,000 arrests". But what were the arrests for? What does the number apply to? The only thing we are sure of is whatever he implies it applies to , it doesn't. Was it All the ICE apprehensions for being illegally in the U.S., last night?, over a 5 year period?, maybe it's the number of speeding tickets issued world wide last month?, or maybe the total number of joints confiscated at the Canadian border and smoked after hours by U.S. Border Patrol during last summer??? Your guess is as good as mine. Hell, your guess is better than mine.
Nothing, absolutely nothing out of this guy's mouth makes any sense, unless he is reading a speech writers words verbatim off the Teleprompter. . Not only is he psychopathic, but there were clear signs of early dementia in his presentation last night. He lost his place several times and picked up with a non sequitur. Then he starts rambling about some murder commited by an illegal, as if to suggest we are less safe because of illegal immigrants, when in fact there is a significantly lower incidence of violent crimes among the immigrant population than among the non immigrant population, and it's highly likely to be lower still among those here illegally!
Dangerous demagogues like Trump try to turn an entire subgroup of the population into scapegoats and then reinforce the false hatred they spark using isolated incidents as if those incidents were typical. We really need to issue a collective "enough" to that jerk. What an asshole Trump is!

I said he lied, not that he was shitfaced.
It was dramatically obvious. The first few minutes were the handiwork of highly professional speech writers. He had spent time practicing the delivery of that portion. He did an excellent job of reading from the teleprompter, and he sounded conciliatory, and like a real President who was interested in finding consensus and leading his country. Then he decided to wing it the rest of the way, and all hell broke loose. It was a total shit show from then to the end, with Trump lying his ass off. He pulled one number after another from that same ass. He also lost track of where he was several times, and the transitions got swallowed by weird non-sequiturs. It was the worst presented, most ill conceived, least coherent SOTU speech in my adult lifetime. It was also strange the way he devoted huge chunks of time to honoring WWII Vets, former prisoners, a kid with cancer, etc. He seemed to forget he was in the House of Representatives rather than on stage at the Apollo. Those folks all deserved to be recognized, but c'mon Mr. President, this is your report to Congress and the Nation on what you've been doing with your time, and we are supposed to decide, based on your report, whether you're giving us our money's worth or not. Tell us what your plans are. Well, you did tell us your plans. You said your plans were to be as obstructive as hell unless we agree to stop investigating you. " Mr. President, You're Fired!"

What we learned last night is that Trump will most likely win 2020, which is awesome for this country!

Agreed. The fact they can't even get someone to host the Oscar's shows how deep in the hole they have buried themselves. The question is, will they continue digging?
