Here is a list of accomplishments we have in Iraq

Air cargo? What about all the slow boats from China, etc.

Those cargo containers that come over on ships (often full of illegals) are prime for being filled with all kinds of stuff.

It is has been OVER 2 years since 911 and we still do not screen our AIR CARGO.

We can spend $87 Billion dollars on reconstructing IRAQ, but we haven't spent one freaking dollar on screening Air Cargo!

Rep. Edward Markey, D-Mass., a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, on Monday called for the Bush administration to step up screening of cargo that is transported on commercial jets, calling it "the most obvious remaining hole in our aviation security system."

"As a routine matter, commercial cargo is not physically screened by anyone, even when it is carried on passenger planes," he said.

How about the Coyotes bringing illegals from Central and South America.......

no lets put money working in IRAQ instead....give them work, new schools, new this new that..make them love us...then give them the key and watch them tear it right back down because the SUNNI's are no longer the rulling class ( something they will fight tooth and nail ).....

How much of the money and manpower sent to IRAQ will go to fighting terrorism???? Mav, Pabst......... I have no idea just asking

It’s fun to see that there are people out there that still think the US has accomplished anything in Iraq.

As for 911, its been years and the American People still don’t know what REALLY happened.

Educate us

Sure the American media will educate you just like they did about the false US claims that north Korea attacked a ship in south Korean waters and started a war involving the UN. There was no ship or attack. Then there’s the Vietnam war and how WELL that was going.

Or like all the lies you’ve been told about Kennedy’s death but you still don’t know the truth. And recently about hurricane Katrina and how much effort the government put into it. I could go on and on….

But whatever people say around the world, the American prefer to hear it from their own news channels. Usually after a generation has passed away and when it doesn’t matter anymore.

So, where did you see combat?

Quote from Magna:

And a noble list it is (congratulations for accumulating it since it wasn't in the news). You did, however, leave out one small detail, a throwaway number if you will, and that is the 461 confirmed American soldiers dead (along with 74 other coalition soldiers). All those wives who lost their husbands (Note: I am referring to the male deaths as there have been less than a handful of female soldiers killed), all those many children who lost their fathers, all those brothers and sisters who lost their brother, all those parents who lost their children, all those friends who've lost their friends. And of course that doesn't include the tens of thousands who have been injured, many quite seriously, many permanently. On top of that there is the thousands upon thousands of Iraqis killed. I realize neocons like to dismiss these numbers, compare it to the larger number of Vietnam, Korean or WWII casualties as if that somehow makes it less important. I can assure you that to the wives, children, brothers, sisters, parents, and friends of those killed the small numbers are very important indeed.

I'm sure you mean well Maverick, and from the tone of your posts I suspect you've never served active duty in the armed forces, nor ever been in a war. Having served three years myself it gives you a slightly different perspective on the so-called glory and grandeur of war, even in the face of such an impressive list.
