Help with the W-8BEN form

I'm a Canadian citizen, living in Canada. I'm trading the Nasdaq. I've been requested to fill out this W-8BEN form by May 15th.

Can you tell me why I'm filling this out?...and also, how I'm supposed to fill this out?

That was my first thought, but then I thought...HEY!...why not bother the good folks at Elite Trader first....haha.

I'll probably give them a call tonight or tommorow though. I'm just one of those people who likes to get all info, from all angles before I do anything.
 
You have to fill that out, so you wouldn't get money (profit, that is) held back for taxes as for US citizens...
