Help Raid Controller ?

I have just done a Xp Sp2 upgrade and its gone bad.

From my device manager I see that I have hardware missing drivers, I have a PCI driver missing for a RAID CONTROLLER ?

What is that ? Any ideas on how I can work out whos driver I need ?

Do you have more than one hard drive ? If not and the machine is otherwise working OK, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you have more than one hard drive, but havn't set up RAID, then I also wouldn't worry about it.

(RAID = Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks. eg
mirroring, striping etc)

There is probably a RAID controller with the motherboard chipset. You can probably get the driver from the system, motherboard or chipset vendor's web sites if you want to.

Motherboard may have a RAID controller and this latest WinXP update may have the ability to detect it. No worries unless you want to set up RAID with a 2nd hard-drive.
