Help! My searches are being highjacked.

seen this problem dozens of times. HijackThis will solve it. just don't delete any of the services unless you know what you're doing. if you start messing with those, you run the risk of having to reinstall the OS.

Looks like a Trojan had hijacked your computer. Next time run msconfig.exe and take a look under the startup tab to see what is listed, most liekely the trojan program will be here.

Mcaffee and Norton are pretty useless bloatware.

I don't know. Just know it reported a few infections that were then deleted.

As reported here by others, Adware and Spyware blaster let it get through and could not delete it.

panda shows you the location of the infected file. boot into safe mode and manually remove it. don't buy the software.
