HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

You've got to be wary when a guy with just 4 posts starts defending esignal.

I could care less if anyone stays with esignal, dtn, realtick, neovest, or the likes.

If you're going to complain about a software package (broker record) identify the problem, first.

Who is your connection through and what state/city do you live in?

Smithtown/Hauppauge area long island new york. I have cablevisions optimum online with boost. Very low pings to most sites, no packet losses(internet really crawls when this happens), 25-30down and 5 plus up. I also have dsl through verizon for backup. Both connections had the same problems with esignal. I always switch connections when I think there is an internet problem, though optimum almost never goes down. Anyway I'll have fios once its available and I even might get a t1 in the future if prices come down enough. I have pretty much become my own tech guy since I moved from prop firm office and when there is a problem I will get to the bottom of it. All signs point to an esignal problem.

It seams pretty evident to me that the problem is Esignal.

If you test different platforms on the same connection and only have problems with Esignal any monkey can deduce that the issue lies within Esignal.

And when this has been proven with multiple competing platforms and connections then it simply makes it even more definitive.

IMO

let me share my problem with the data that just started for me about 3 weeks ago. I will be up and running and the data will just stop for 10,15 30 seconds and then start running again. My data manager will be green and then sometimes turn red. If i wait long enough, sometimes a minute it comes back on. People a e-sig told me it could be server issue on their end. I have an internet connection during these down times

That sounds like a plausible explanation.
And, not a to hard of fix. Except Esig could see it as a cost benefit with the cost being high relative to the benefit of a small number (relatively) of users.

It would be interesting to see if those having problems are linked to the same servers. Assuming they use multiple servers.

I have a question.

Do those of you who are experiencing latency during fast
markets or at the opening in stocks also have the same
problem with $INDU, $SPX and $COMPQ?

The reason I ask is that I do not subscribe to U.S. stock
data but do get the above symbols realtime. And I can
compare the data for these symbols with my Reuters which
is on a dedicated line and can say that there is no latency problem whatsoever. At least not that can be seen with
the human eye.

So if you do have a problem with these symbols, it would
seem that everybody would also. And as I for one don't,
this information may help you look to other than eSignal
for a solution. We did have this same problem where I
live many years ago when connection speeds were slower.
But now with everybody here on 100Mbps fiber optic cable
connections you never here such complaints anymore.

I am not accusing anyone. What I am suggesting is most (not all) traders make claims that software packages are slow and delayed, but the traders I know, who use ESignal, all have great infrastructures and none have any issues. That is a group of over 60 traders in remote locations from NYC to CA.

I agree with you 120%. And I'm even farther away from
eSignal than your group of 60 traders. I live in Tokyo!!

eSignal is GREAT!!!
I have been using it since late '03 and had no problem with its data feed...

until the last couple of weeks that is...

...I just canceled my subscription as of Friday...
