HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

Quote from Chuck_T:

The market volumes have set all time records this year and continue to grow. We have and are continuing to add more new hardware and bandwidth to our systems. We have spend over $3m+ this year and plan on spending $4m+ next year on captial improvements.

There is also a 10.01 release coming that reduces the bandwidth usage by 33% that we have released on eSignal Pro and will be available to all eSignal uses in a few weeks. The 10.1 release is focusing on other improvements in this area due early next year.

So you know,

Chuck Thompson
eSignal

With all due respect, I was an E-signal subscribe for 2yrs and finally got tired of hearing this, 'we're working on it...the next release is better..coming soon' response...finally gave up.

Guys,

Those of you who are using Esignal software try to plug their feed into NinjaTrader and see if there is am improvement. Ninja is free, until you decide to use it to place live trades.

What was wrong with it?

The fact that they will basically "own" your hard drive and can scan it at will, for up to 6 months after your acct was closed to see if you broke in some way the agreement, or to see if you have some files or software that may damage their business. And of course, they will be entitled to any monetary compensation you can think of.

I decided a couple of weeks ago to cancel my esignal subscription. I got tired of it crashing all the time and telling me to send them a "Crash Report".

Well I'm done with esignal. Unfortunately I signed up for a 1-yr subscription so my account officially won't be cancelled until next July.

Do you use nortel ssl as a vpn?

There is a solution to the crashing. Unfortunately there is no solution to the massive slowdown in esignal during peak volume times. We will be seeing that today.

Unfortunately that is standard procedure in this business.

It's still inexcusable.
It is standard because everybody accepts it.
If the majority of ppl would raise their voice or give them the "finger", it wouldn't be standard procedure at all.

I have a question.

Do those of you who are experiencing latency during fast
markets or at the opening in stocks also have the same
problem with $INDU, $SPX and $COMPQ?

The reason I ask is that I do not subscribe to U.S. stock
data but do get the above symbols realtime. And I can
compare the data for these symbols with my Reuters which
is on a dedicated line and can say that there is no latency problem whatsoever. At least not that can be seen with
the human eye.

So if you do have a problem with these symbols, it would
seem that everybody would also. And as I for one don't,
this information may help you look to other than eSignal
for a solution. We did have this same problem where I
live many years ago when connection speeds were slower.
But now with everybody here on 100Mbps fiber optic cable
connections you never here such complaints anymore.

I have also no noticeable lag. Altho i only use eSignal for fx (hotspot and tdfx contributors). eSignal is maybe a split-second slower than the quotes from orderentry. I have heard that eSig sucks for stocks from various traders now, but IMHO for fx its ok.
