HELP I am short ESand getting Margin calls

Last night I decided to scale up. Normally I trade a few contracts but decided to try 10 contracts of ES. When it went against me I bought more. I continued. Now I am short about 100 contacts and keep on getting margin calls and auto liquidation.

What should I do?

I don't believe that you're short $1.7MM ES any more than I believe that Jesus likes the menage or that snarkhund worked at Citadel. Went against me.. bought more.

Waiting for tomorrow's, "my quotes are stuck."

Market is closed April 2. You have a chance of breaking even for the day, maybe.
Against the tide and after hours margin requirements are 30% more. Talk about creating anxiety going into the close.

And getting "Hwang'ed out to dry"

Happy April 1 everyone.

Live to trade another day, April 2. Happy April 1 everyone.

Who the hell would go short 100 contracts ES on a break out of NQ and ES at a new high? ;) Heck I would not go big either way for that matter. Just stay the course and look out for icebergs. There are some pretty big 4K orders going through right now and for the past several days. Large players are doing their thing.

Welcome to my ignore list, Wasting people's time is not cool.

...Wasting people's time is not cool.

If that were true, I would have been on your ignore list a long time ago I reckon'. Let the guy have a bit of fun. *shrugs*

Like when I see your nick, I always think of a warface.

Apologies to any that got upset or otherwise did not get the April 1 post.

Don't worry about it too much. It has been a rough April 1 2020 to April 1 2021 for many folks.

Next time you want to make an April fool's joke about trading?

Well, just DON'T.

Better be careful there if you’ve started getting margin calls and even if they are for your benefit, it is time for you to act sooner. You can try not to hold on to a trade that you are losing or are about to lose as it will do away with your margin. Try not to overtrade or use a very high leverage for every trade that you are making. If you are trading without the use of any stop loss or limit orders, you have a high chance of getting a margin call so be careful. Good luck to you.
