help! cannot sleep well -- wake up too early...

Quote from AAA30:

Try writing down what you want to focus on the next day then read it in the morning. Sounds ghey but it may help you relax enough to fall asleep.

Exercise, diet and avoiding caffine also helps. I switched to green tea/white tea and have noticed it is easier to sleep. I have always had a similar problem.

Caffeine Content of Some Common Drinks (per 100 ml)
Coffee brewed from grounds 40 mg
Expresso coffee 212 mg

Is it best to buy this thing online?

I want to buy some and try it out. Your explanation makes sense to me.

Any drug store, it's sold nationwide...

When I can't sleep I tense and relax all parts of my body. Start with toes and work up, I'm usually asleep before I get to my scalp. There is a feedback from thoughts to muscle tension and muscle tension to thoughts.. tense and relax the muscles and it dies down.

A few weeks back I was waking up early like you, it was when I decided to give up system development via backtester and just get up early and screen trade. I got excited after a few days of that and was waking up early.. it went away on it's own as I got into the routine...

I tried Melatonin and did feel foggy... I suspect it will affect my brain power. Anybody also tried Melatonin?

Thanks!

Yes. Melatonin is good but when I had trouble sleeping a few years ago I tried the tylenol pms and I swear by em! They knock you out and keep you out, and, I felt great in the morning. Some apparently develop addictions to them but it never affected me like that.

Hi bro,

I have been insomniac for 12 years. Started complaining, then entered depression, complained a lot to every one who was ready to listen to me. Then as i was working as a relief lecturer I decided to go for proper exam and get the job. I was working every day from 8 to 5 at the university and was preparing that exam every night for one year from midnight to 3pm. Every day exhausted and trying to hide how irritated i could easily get. Then finally passed this exam that made me a lecturer civil servant in university in France. From that day i understood that not sleeping well is an issue but you can take advantage of it to learn, read...and above all just GIVE UP on having a good sleep. now i trade the us markets for asia just taking advantage of the bad sleep issue. On time just a sleeping pill when I look like a zombie. Trading does not help to sleep well anyway. i keep checking my positions 3 to 4 times per night. What does not kill us make us stronger

Hi!

i had the same problem. couldnt sleep for more than 4 to 5 hours a night. including weekends too! partially resolved the issue by squaring off all positions, and making a fresh start at next market open!

seems to work for me.

Go buy some new underpants. Not rediculously tight, but snug enough to hold your man business in place.

Try it and report back. I am not being a smartass, it works.

what offsets the fact that green tea has caffine?

Hey ty. I have tried excercising - 90 minutes of badminton a day. food habits are quite ok, but ever since i have started day trading, this seems to be it. and underpants(tight or not) are not the issue lol :-)
