And don't forget: the kids are kept stupid by the public education system

climate change - I view it as a side show to the overall mega tech take over.

the progressive left has always been pretending they are the party for the poor, so they need to keep people on the plantation.

but as capitalism lift more and more people out of poverty, they need to have some scheme to suppress the economy... hence the climate change scam... carbon taxes and all to keep growth in check.

but I think this is showing signs of a failing battle... no matter how many Gretta Thornburg they push to the magazine front more and more people see thru it for what it really is - a desperate political struggle for power, that in the core has nothing to do with saving the planet.

it shouldn't change the overall trend though.

I'm on the verge of homeschooling.

this relates to the 'bragging' someone accused me of lately...

daughter had some sleeping issues that affected attendance since middle school and she asked to go to a cyber charter school... we fought the battle but she won at the end... it actually helped a lot during the difficult years... well teens in general just don't get enough sleep with the prevailing high school schedule..... anyway the flex schedule allowed her to pursue debate and travel around the country for the tournaments during the last 2 years of high school.

son was ok with sleeping but saw the big sister didn't need to get up everyday and he asked for it as well.... and turned out it also helps a lot now that he is a pro gamer.

going to the conventional school can be a huge time waster..... 7 hours a day in there, considering both kids on average spend 20 minutes a day just to sign on and do some home work..

this option doesn't completely shut out the 'brain washing' part, but at least they are not in a herd environment... worth considering as it is less work for the parents... I think.

Hmm... Cyber charter school. I will consider. My son does 2-3 hours of studying and he's done for the day. I agree that 7-8 hours are a huge waste of time for kids. They can do other stuff.

He recently did a test where he scored in the 98th percentile for math. And the guy plays fortnite most of the time. He definitely didn't learn any of this shit in school, it came from being taught at home.

Edit: wow, check out this FUD: https://theconversation.com/what-cy...re-and-why-their-growth-should-worry-us-68471

Double edit: btw, he goes to a private school but it's not great IMO. And I don't want to pay $60K for one of those private schools again like I did for the girl. Not that it's a waste of money, it's not, but why should I pay someone $60K to raise my kid. This way I might get an assistant out of it.

Finland kids/students, use to choose lessons themselfs, no grades and the least of hours in schools,

meanwhile south korea kidos do 10 / 12 hour days, have the least of holidays.

Finland meets South Korea at math, geography, physics etc , international student competitions.

Finland wins.

people get scared when I call $1000 aapl which means $4t market cap.... don't be scared... if you have the vision of the revolution you will get rich, permanently....

it's definitely revolution - doubling on declining revenues in a year. Imagine how much it will cost next year when revenues decline even more

based by its performance $4t by the next year end and then maybe even $100T when their global market share goes to 1% from current 10%
